// call for participation
Mumbai, India · Devcon 8 · November 2026
The internet should remain useful when infrastructure fails, connectivity becomes unreliable, or centralized services are unavailable. As Ethereum and decentralized applications continue to evolve, resilient networking, privacy-preserving communication, and secure peer-to-peer infrastructure are becoming increasingly important.
We invite developers, researchers, open-source maintainers, security engineers, protocol designers, and builders to participate in the Resilient Networking Hub at Devcon 8 in Mumbai. Organized around the libp2p community and the wider open-source ecosystem, the hub aims to bring people together to explore how we can build decentralized infrastructure that is resilient, secure, interoperable, and accessible without relying on a single point of failure.
// the hub on the devcon forum
Devcon 8 India: Resilient Networking Hub ↗Open networks, observability, and trillion-dollar security. Follow the hub thread, post your idea, and coordinate with the core team, contributors, and advisers.
// what we're exploring
libp2p, peer discovery, NAT traversal, relays, network partitions, fault tolerance, and connectivity under adverse conditions.
Consensus and execution-layer networking, light clients, protocol interoperability, network observability, and infrastructure security.
Encrypted communication, metadata privacy, decentralized identity, private discovery, and secure data exchange.
Post-quantum cryptography, quantum-resistant networking, light clients, and migration strategies for decentralized systems.
Content addressing, distributed storage, data availability, replication, verifiable artifacts, and offline-first applications.
Decentralized agent discovery, secure agent communication, verifiable capabilities, and resilient AI infrastructure.
Threat modeling, smart-contract and infrastructure security, network-layer vulnerabilities, and AI-assisted security research.
Testing frameworks, protocol implementations, developer tools, and reusable infrastructure components.
// who should participate
You do not need to be a libp2p contributor or use libp2p in your project to participate. We welcome different implementations, approaches, and perspectives.
// what can you contribute
We value practical engineering, reproducible experiments, honest accounts of failure, and ideas that other projects can reuse.
// why participate
Our goal is to create meaningful collaboration between networking, Ethereum, security, privacy, distributed storage, post-quantum research, and decentralized AI communities. We hope participants will leave with new collaborators, actionable engineering insights, shared research directions, and opportunities to contribute to open infrastructure beyond Devcon.
// on-stage talks & workshops
The libp2p community is contributing talks and workshops across the Libp2p Expedition and associated ecosystem events, showcasing work in resilient networking, privacy-preserving communication, post-quantum security, Ethereum infrastructure, and AI-driven DeFi security.

We'd love to hear from you. To express interest, share a short description of your project or idea, the theme you would like to contribute to, and whether you are interested in presenting, running a workshop, joining a panel, or collaborating with other builders.
Let's build networks that remain open, secure, private, and resilient — even when parts of the system fail.
