Security Hub × Resilient Networking Hub

Devcon 8 India · November 3–6, 2026

Proposed Web3 security initiatives

Find a tool to explore, a security topic to discuss, or a community to contribute to. The libp2p team and Security Hub are working together on practical security activities for Devcon.

Resources are available to explore now. Devcon workshops are proposed; session times, speakers, and formats are not yet confirmed.

For developers & project teams

Security Project for Builders: Leak Detection Tooling

Explore tooling for security-sensitive leaks, then test it and share feedback with the community.

Explore leak detection tooling
Proposed Devcon activity

We propose showcasing and developing a practical security project that helps developers identify and understand security-sensitive leaks and issues in their projects.

  • Participation and recommendations around the 1TS initiative.
  • Opportunities for builders to contribute, test, and provide feedback.
  • Potential funding support through Giveth’s EF DAO program.
  • Continued development as an open, community-oriented security resource.

This fits the Security Hub’s Security for Builders day: practical workshops, builder questions, tool demonstrations, and security clinics.

02

For infrastructure operators & incident responders

Incident Response Workshop: libp2p × Ethereum Tokyo

Explore how teams detect incidents, communicate during a crisis, and recover together.

Read the workshop proposal
Proposed Devcon activity

We propose a hands-on workshop on incident response for decentralized infrastructure, developed in collaboration with Ethereum Tokyo.

  • How infrastructure teams detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Communication and coordination during an active incident.
  • Lessons learned from real-world incidents.
  • The role of networking and peer-to-peer infrastructure in incident response.
  • Practical exercises for builders and infrastructure operators.

This aligns with the Security Hub’s proposed Incident Response and Coordination programming.

03

For maintainers & security researchers

Security Coordination Workshop

Explore responsible disclosure and stronger coordination across projects and their dependencies.

Explore the coordination proposal
Proposed Devcon activity

We would like to contribute a dedicated discussion and workshop around security coordination across the libp2p and Ethereum infrastructure ecosystem.

  • Coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
  • Communication between upstream maintainers and downstream projects.
  • Dependency and supply-chain security.
  • Security advisories and responsible disclosure.
  • Incident coordination across multiple implementations and projects.
  • Stronger relationships between security researchers, maintainers, infrastructure teams, and incident responders.

The objective is to identify practical improvements that can continue after Devcon, rather than treating the workshop as a standalone event.

For new contributors & students

Getting Involved with the Community

Connect with the Hub community, ask where your skills can help, and find an open-source starting point.

Meet the Hub community on Telegram
Proposed Devcon activity

We would like to use the Security Hub as an entry point for builders, researchers, students, and security contributors who want to get involved with libp2p, resilient networking, and open-source infrastructure security.

This provides a pathway into ongoing community work, contributor discussions, workshops, and open-source projects.

05

For AI builders & researchers

Security Research: AI Security / Security for AI

Read Dr. Pritha Gupta’s research on security for AI and AI for security, and explore connections to decentralized infrastructure.

Dr. Pritha Gupta’s research
Proposed Devcon activity

We would like to highlight opportunities to connect security research, AI security, and resilient decentralized infrastructure.

Dr. Pritha Gupta’s work provides a potential research connection for discussions around security for AI and AI for security, particularly as decentralized infrastructure and agentic systems increasingly intersect.

// beyond devcon

Proposed outcomes

Builder security
Open tooling and practical security projects.
Incident response
Hands-on exercises and lessons learned.
Security coordination
Stronger collaboration between maintainers, researchers, and infrastructure teams.
Long-term community
Clear pathways for contributors to continue working on security and resilient networking after Devcon.

We would be happy to coordinate the exact format, speakers, workshops, and scheduling with Anamarija and the Security Hub team.

// with appreciation

Thank you, Anamarija

A special thank you to Anamarija for the support, encouragement, and openness to bringing these initiatives into the Security Hub. We are excited to work together and contribute practical, open-source security and resilient networking activities to Devcon 8 India.
